SAMP International started out as a small neighbourhood courier in Ranip, Ahmedabad — at 133, Umiyanagar Society, near Mangaldeep School. A few loyal customers, a Gujarati aunty who needed to send homemade theplas to her daughter in New Jersey, a businessman sending fabric samples to a buyer in London. Word spread the way it always does in Gujarat: from a neighbour to a cousin to a colleague at work.

Today, our main office is at B 35, Supath 2 Complex, Near Old Wadaj Bus Stand. Bigger space, more carriers, more countries, more paperwork handled per day. But the way we work hasn't changed. You still walk in and meet Pushpak — the same person who will pick up the phone if you call later. You still talk in Gujarati, Hindi or English, whichever is easier. We still tell you honestly what will clear customs and what won't, and we still follow up with the destination partner when a shipment is slow.

What's new is the technology behind the counter. Every parcel now gets a unique tracking number the moment we book it. You watch the timeline live on sampintl.in/track. We push WhatsApp updates at every milestone. No more "beta, has the parcel reached?" calls at 11 PM because a worried mother can't sleep. She can see it for herself.

We handle four kinds of shipments under one roof — personal parcels and documents, unaccompanied baggage for students and returning NRIs, commercial cargo for small Gujarati exporters, and full air + sea freight for bulk moves. If it needs to go from Gujarat to the world, there's a good chance we've sent it before.
